| Leviticus v. Leviathan Released
and Ready to Order
More than 10 years of
research and writing went into Leviticus v. Leviathan.
Attorney Wayne Holstad views the history and tradition of American
law; then shows how the United States Supreme Court and lesser federal
courts have assailed it to such an extent as to leave it without
meaning. And American Christians have no one to blame except
themselves.

States Rights Issues False Label in Schiavo Case
Conservatives Confused and Wrong
A recent
editorial in the Los Angeles Times instructed Chief Justice
Rehnquist to stay away from the Terry Schiavo case as some weird
form of penance for his involvement in the Bush v. Gore
litigation in 2000. The Times editorial is consistent with
a near-unanimous viewpoint, among liberals and conservatives
alike, that federal intervention to protect an individual from
state law injustice is hypocritical and somehow inconsistent with
the idea that conservatives are supporters of state’
rights. The editorial evidences a lack of research into the Chief
Justice’s prior
rulings on the subject and I do not understand the origin of the
conservatives’ states
rights concerns.

Reviews
A review by Thomas Lindaman
When we look out at American society these days, there’s one question that far
too often comes to mind: Where did we go wrong? It seems as though there’s a
taint infecting everything from entertainment to government, and it’s not
unusual to feel a little overwhelmed, wondering what we can do.
Wayne B. Holstad has an idea. In his book Leviticus v. Leviathan: Choosing
Our Sovereign, Holstad gives readers a lesson in how things were, how things
are, and how things should be.

Leviticus
v.
Leviathan
"American Christians don’t seem to realize
that God was separated from law and politics undemocratically. As a trial
and appellate lawyer, I experience the result of that reality daily. Not
just God’s sovereignty, but democracy itself, cannot be restored until
American Christians understand how it happened, where we are at, and how it
should be. This book, written from a trial lawyer’s viewpoint, should help.
"Judges
don’t just interpret law any more. They make up the law...."
